PlateComps is operated by Plate Seller Ltd, trading as PlateComps.

By using the website, creating an account or entering a competition, you agree to these Terms of Use and any other policies that apply to your use of the website, including our Competition Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Free Postal Entry Policy.

2. About PlateComps

PlateComps operates skill-based prize competitions.

The rules for entering competitions, including eligibility, entry requirements, free postal entry, draw process, winner selection, prizes and refunds, are set out in our Competition Terms and Conditions.

If there is any conflict between these Website Terms of Use and the Competition Terms and Conditions, the Competition Terms and Conditions will apply to competition entries.

3. Eligibility to Use the Website

You must be at least 18 years old and resident in the United Kingdom to create an account or enter a competition.

You must not use the website if you are prohibited from doing so by law or if we have previously suspended or closed your account.

6. Competition Entries

All competition entries are subject to the Competition Terms and Conditions.

We may reject, cancel or disqualify entries where we reasonably believe that the website, account, entry process, payment process or free postal entry route has been misused.

Paid entries are not confirmed until payment has been successfully completed and the correct skill question answer has been submitted.

Free postal entries must comply with the Free Postal Entry Policy and the Competition Terms and Conditions.

7. Payments

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers, including Cashflows or any replacement payment provider we use from time to time.

PlateComps does not store full card details.

Payment providers may have their own terms, policies and checks.

We may refuse, cancel or refund payments where we reasonably believe there has been fraud, misuse, error, chargeback abuse, payment failure or a breach of our terms.

8. Website Content

The content on the website is provided for general information and to allow users to view and enter competitions.

We take reasonable care to keep website information accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that all content will always be complete, accurate or free from errors.

If there is an obvious error in a competition listing, prize description, price, ticket allocation, closing date or other website information, we may correct the error and take reasonable steps to deal with affected entries fairly.

9. Prizes and Images

Prize details will be shown on the relevant competition page.

Images, photographs, descriptions, values and promotional materials may be used for illustration and marketing purposes unless expressly stated otherwise.

Where a prize is unavailable or cannot reasonably be supplied, PlateComps may offer a cash alternative, an alternative prize of similar value, or another remedy in accordance with the Competition Terms and Conditions.

The website and its content, including text, graphics, logos, images, design, layout, software, branding and other materials, are owned by or licensed to Plate Seller Ltd unless otherwise stated.

You may view and use the website for personal, non-commercial use only.

  • breached the Competition Terms and Conditions;

  • attempted to manipulate competitions, payments, accounts or the free entry route; or
  • acted in a way that could harm PlateComps, Plate Seller Ltd, other users, competitions or third-party providers.
