1. Introduction
PlateComps offers a free postal entry route for all competitions operated on www.platecomps.com.
No purchase is necessary to enter a competition using the free postal entry route.
This Free Postal Entry Policy should be read together with our Competition Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Website Terms of Use.
2. Eligibility
To enter by post, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old;
- Be a resident of the United Kingdom;
- have a valid PlateComps account; which can be created free of charge;
- provide complete and accurate entry information;
- answer the skill question correctly; and
- comply with the Competition Terms and Conditions.
Employees, directors, contractors and immediate family members of PlateComps, Plate Seller Ltd, or anyone directly connected with the operation or administration of a competition may not enter.
PlateComps may ask for proof of age, identity, address and eligibility before confirming a winner or awarding a prize.
3. How to Enter by Post
To enter a competition by post, send your entry on a postcard or within an envelope to:

Your postal entry must include:
- the name of the competition you wish to enter;
- your full name;
- your date of birth;
- your postal address;
- your email address;
- your telephone number;
- your answer to the skill question; and
- your PlateComps account email address, if different from the email above.
The cost of postage is the responsibility of the entrant.
4. One Entry Per Envelope or Postcard
Only one free postal entry may be submitted per envelope or postcard.
Multiple entries in the same envelope or on the same postcard may be rejected.
Bulk entries, mechanically produced entries, incomplete entries, illegible entries or entries sent by any method other than post may be rejected.
5. Entry Deadline
Postal entries must be received by PlateComps before the relevant competition closes.
Entries received after the closing date and time will not be included in the draw, even if they were posted before the closing date.
PlateComps is not responsible for postal delays, lost post, incomplete entries, illegible entries, damaged entries or entries not received before the competition closes.
6. Skill Question
Your postal entry must include the correct answer to the skill question for the competition you are entering.
Incorrect answers will not be entered into the draw.
The skill question will be shown on the relevant competition page.
7. Equal Treatment of Postal Entries
Valid free postal entries will be treated in the same way as paid entries.
A valid free postal entry has the same chance of winning as a valid paid entry.
A postal entry will only be valid if it is complete, legible, received in time, includes the correct skill question answer and complies with the Competition Terms and Conditions.
8. Account Requirement
You must have a PlateComps account so that your postal entry can be matched to you and administered correctly.
Creating a PlateComps account is free.
If your postal entry does not include enough information to identify your account, PlateComps may be unable to process the entry.
9. Disqualification
PlateComps may reject or disqualify postal entries where it reasonably believes that a person has:
- provided false, incomplete or misleading information;
- entered while under 18 or outside the United Kingdom;
- attempted to exceed any stated entry limit;
- used multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage;
- submitted bulk, automated or mechanically produced entries;
- attempted to manipulate the free entry process; or
- otherwise breached the Competition Terms and Conditions.
10. Winner Selection
All valid postal entries with the correct answer will be entered into the same draw as paid entries.
The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries.
11. Data Protection
PlateComps will process personal data provided with postal entries in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
Postal entry information may be used for entry administration, fraud prevention, eligibility checks, winner verification, draw administration and legal compliance.
